Nature Walks – Green Cay

Despite not sleeping well last night, I got myself dressed and out the door on another hot and humid Florida morning.  The temperatures are noticeably warmer than last year.  By most afternoons, it’s in the mid-90’s, with variable humidity.  We’ve had a lot more thunderstorms, too.

I wandered over to Green Cay, one of the nearby wetland preserve for a walkabout and photo session.  Here are some more photos:

Green Heron

Birds were doing bird things, grooming, fishing, and caring for their young.  I love being able to observe these wonderful creatures at such close quarters.

Summer is here.  The heat is on, but there is always Hope:
