Eliza: In Process

Eliza: In Process

I’m working on my fourth ever oil painting.  It’s a learning experience, but fun.  Since I’m working in another person’s space, I’m using water soluble oils, so the result probably wouldn’t satisfy a purist, but does make for easier clean-up and less smell.  Modern oil painting have a lot of new mediums to explore, which I will use in time when we finally get settled.

Hope you enjoy my effort.  It’s drying now and there will be some touch-ups to strengthen the center of the bloom.  It’s a peony, which I photographed last spring.

  1. Hi Eliza, I love your paintings and the photographs! But mostly I love your heartfelt messages that strike a resonance hard to describe. And I can almost “smell” the aroma of the peony!
