Journal Entry 03.09.2015
No messages this weekend… obviously. I was in tears a good part of the time, doing some more deep clearing. This evening, however, I put on some Mozart, got out my paints and splashed about without thought. The above painting was about half done when I started up tonight. It might need a bit touching up, but has progressed.
The subject is a colony of Whitebark Pine that I found on the top of Mount Howard, a mountain named after my old nemesis, the one-armed Army general whose troops chased our people across 1700 miles of wild lands long ago. The pines are ancient, clinging grimly to the rocky soil on top of the wind-swept peak. The mountains, rivers and sky endure even if the people do not.
Feeling better now… and off to find another subject for painting.
Enjoy the coming week everyone and I hope you are also enjoying the various pieces that I’ve been posting of other people’s work.
Hugs and kisses,
